Uhlmann, a worldwide leader in blister packaging technology, now offers the B1880 Thermoformer, featuring state-of-the-art technology, innovative ergonomic design, and an unequalled output capability of 1300 blisters per minute. The B1880 Thermoformer will make its U.S. debut at the First Annual Blister Roundtable, September 14 and 15 at Uhlmanns U.S. headquarters.
Available in both intermittent and continuous sealing modes, the B1880 has a machine frame made of cast mineral material and stainless steel and an ingeniously simple sliding and closing mechanism for the protective doors, which are scratch resistant and shatterproof, offering added operator safety and ease of access for cleaning.
The Uhlmann B1880 utilizes a ToolControl identification system for correct selection of tools and format parts, guaranteeing optimum changeover times. A twin reel support for the forming film allows preparation for film roll changes without halting production for all common types of forming film.
Ushering in a new era of thermoformers capable of top performance in the high speed packaging of mass batches of the industrys most demanding products, the B1880 provides superior process reliability with optimized components for forming, sealing, punching, and many other process steps. To ensure a cleanroom atmosphere, air and waste heat are drawn off inside the machine frame. In addition to reduced machine dimensions and operating noise levels, the B1880 features straightforward easy-to-understand TouchScreen machine control through a new SCADA central line control system.
